The Heart Desires: You Make Me Happy

I'm up on The Heart Desires with a quick card trio!  I'd love for you to visit me over on the blog!  Here's a peek at some of my supplies:

Reverse Confetti: You anchor me

So I've been on a huge nautical kick lately:

I decided to use my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors and whip up a background.  The Reverse Confetti Cloud White cardstock takes watercoloring really well.  I added the Flowers for Mom confetti cuts in Sand and Cloud White.  The sentiment is from the Seaside stamp set which has been stamped in Navy.  Love the fun pop of Brick from the Seaside anchor confetti cuts.

Adjusted her sails

Hello!  So, I have a bunch of pattern paper, whether it is 12x12 or in 6x6 pads...I have a ton of both.  So I decided I wanted to play with the Carta Bella Yacht Club and this is how I was inspired:

I used the retired Verve Stamps, Adjusted Sails stamp.  I aged the papers with Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber.   The sentiment has been stamped with Hero Arts Navy Shadow Ink.

I used a wood veneer anchor and tied it off with Red Twine from the T$spot.

I couldn't wait to get started and decided to combine the Hero Arts Busy As A Bee set with the Color Layering Poppy set.

To really let that bee be the star of the show, I surrounded him with reds, making his yellow POP.  I inked up the Honeycomb Stencil with Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber.  The Color Layering Poppy has been inked up with:

Can you spy the smidge of glitter on the bee wings?  This card has been been narrowed to 3.75 inches by 5.5 inches.

Here are a couple fun bee facts:

Honeybees are responsible for pollinating approx 80% of all fruit, vegetable and seed crops in the U.S.

Bees communicate with each other by dancing and by using pheromones (scents).

Honeybees never sleep!

Okay, I know that I'm not the only one but I tend to hoard cute crafting supplies like the Doodlebug Designs - Cream & Sugar.  So I hope to focus on that collection whenever I can over the next several weeks.  Here's a super clean + crisp one:

Isn't that sentiment perfect?!  It's by STAMPlorations, Coffee Happy.  I decided to use a strip of Hero Arts Pool Mix Layering Paper for it, love the pop contrasting color.

The the newest CAS(E) this sketch!

I hope you all have an awesome weekend!  I'm a happy momma, I have both of my babies home with me this weekend.  It's been since January since I've seen the boy, he'll be home for a couple days before he flies out again.

You're Sweet!

Pineapples, I love them and can't get enough of them.  My friend Kimberly Wiener gifted me a bunch of the Paper Smooches Pineapple collection...how sweet is she?!!!!!  Here's how it inspired me:

Those glasses are so much fun with that adorable pineapple!  The embossing folder is from Stampin' Up but it doesn't look like they sell it anymore....love the triangle theme.
